Alright, so in this episode, I want to share with you some valuable insights that could help you heal faster.
About three and a half months ago, I started working with a client using a combination of osteopathy, coaching, and EFT – emotional freedom technique.
One of her main concerns was knee pain, especially when walking downhill.
I started coaching her on the mind-body connection and explained how knee pain is often associated with an inability to accept something. So I asked her, “What has happened? What are you struggling to come to terms with?”
She shared that about a year ago, her husband passed away, and she’s been having a hard time accepting it. She still missed him a lot. She also didn’t like being retired and having passed her business on to her kids.
I told her, “I’ll treat you, but I want you to know that if you can find some acceptance around these things, it could massively speed up your healing process.”
After that session, she came back the next week – and she was already feeling better.
We continued with two more osteopathy and coaching sessions. On the third visit, she was a bit frustrated the pain wasn’t completely gone.
So I said, “How about we try some EFT?”
We began tapping on the pain of letting go of her husband and the resentment around how the doctors treated him. He had chosen to get the vaccine, despite her urging him not to, and he listened to his sister over her. These were things she deeply struggled to accept.
We tapped through that emotional charge – and two weeks later, when she came back, she had improved significantly.
Some time passed, and we worked on other areas too. But then, about two weeks ago, she came to me again after falling off one of those electric scooters.
Her knees were swollen. Thankfully, the pain wasn’t too bad, but she found it hard to go down the stairs again.
I treated her. When she returned today, she mentioned how annoyed she felt when going downstairs and feeling pain.
I asked, “Why do you get so annoyed?”
And she said, “Because I can’t do things – and I want to be productive.”
I told her, “I completely understand. I really respect and honor that drive in you. Having a sense of purpose is so important, even for longevity.
But sometimes, when things are out of our control, the best thing we can do is to accept what is.”
As I worked on her, the word ‘father’ popped into my mind. So I asked, “Was your father a hard worker?”
She said yes – he was a calm, gentle man, but he really valued hard work.
Then I asked, “If you were productive or accomplished things, would he praise you?”
Again, she said yes.
So I explained, “Your drive to be productive may be tied to receiving your father’s love, approval, and recognition.
And now, when you can’t be productive, it may subconsciously feel like you’re not worthy of that love.”
She was emotional and said, “But I don’t like this.”
And I said, “I know. But there’s no point arguing with reality. Sometimes things are the way they are. They need to be accepted before they can be shifted.
Whatever you resist tends to persist.”
At the end of the day, pain in the body is often a message from the soul. It’s trying to tell us something.
Resisting it – being annoyed, frustrated – doesn’t help. Those are low-vibration feelings. They don’t hold the power to transform.
But when you move into a space of love, compassion, and acceptance – for yourself and for the pain – that’s a high vibration.
That’s where healing begins.
So here’s the key takeaway:
No matter what you’re going through, try to come to terms with it.
Acceptance doesn’t mean giving up. It means you acknowledge the situation, make peace with it, and then look for ways to shift it or heal it.
There’s no point resisting and hoping it will magically disappear – because that’s just not how healing works.
I hope you found something valuable in this episode. Let me know in the comments if it resonates with you.
